E-Commerce/Small Parcel Shipping Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager

The day to day job tasks includes:
Customer service and support to E-Commerce retailers for their cross-border shipments to Japan
Check and Improve the day-to-day shipping operation of our internal branch offices across the USA and Canada.
Liaison with one of the biggest US based E-commerce company as well as Yamato's operational team in Japan.
The candidate may be eligible to “telework/telecommute” remotely to work anywhere with private access to email, web-chat tools or phone in order to communicate confidentially with customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be fluent in both English and Japanese, enjoy and understand the importance and uses of IT platforms in the e-commerce shipping and logistics industry. The potential candidate will be disciplined and independent with a customer-oriented character.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a multicultural environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Promote Yamato’s International TA-Q-BIN service, which is the No.1 parcel delivery brand in Japan in terms of scale and quality, to customers.
Answers incoming customer inquiry regarding the shipping system issues, service questions and general concerns
With using our own developed web-based shipping system, to assist customers to start the shipping for Japan up and the daily operation thereafter
Implement the Yamato's value added and sophisticated delivery services for customers to enhance the consumers' satisfactions
Analyzing customer needs and developing innovative solutions
For this position that prospective candidate will be eligible to work anywhere, however, it is preferred that he/she work in New York.
