Dedicated Receptionist/Operator to handle client-interfacing duties as well as general office tasks. When our customers walk into our office, we want them to find a friendly, smiling face and a helping hand. Assist customers in-person, handle phone calls and emails about shipments, orders, errors, cancellations, and other inquiries. Work with other Operation team members as directed by the Operations Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong communications skills and strong work ethic
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook and Word)
• Fluent business English/Japanese (Speak, Read, Write)
• 0-3 years of office work experience in the field or in a related area
• Ability to lift and weigh packages up to 55 pounds that our customers bring in
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• High school diploma
• Eligible to work in USA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Asian cultures

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Daily communication with customers, clients and Yamato team
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
• Help our C2C/B2B walk-in customers
• Daily data processing & create reports for shipments
• Out bound call to reach out to customers and verify information
• Cash Handling
