YAMATO LOVES MEXICO

09.07.2022 | Category, Blog

YAMATO is insanely busy in Mexico, to be specific our Irapuato Head Office. In 2020, Mexico’s economy ranked 15th in the world in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), 9th in total exports and 13th in total imports.

So, what is YAMATO busy handling? Auto parts and accessories. Some of the busier Japanese carmakers (are very active here, leading to high demand for every motor vehicle accessory imaginable (think motor vehicle replacement parts), plus computers, video displays and insulated wire.

There’s also the agricultural market, which needs tractors and other machine parts. On the other side, the Irapuato= Office (which has five employees) also offers warehouse filfullment service.

More and more, economic activity is more about regions than any particular city. For Mexico, the future looks bright, thanks to trade activity with the US. Mexico’s economy is projected to expand by 3.3 percent this year and 2.5 percent in 2023 after bouncing back from COVID with 4.8 percent growth in 2021. Exports of raw materials will lead the way, powered by a strong industrial economy.
